On March 17-19, 2020, heavy rains hit the Northern and Central parts of Iraq. In the city of Mosul, 127 mm of rain fell in the evening, which is the third of the annual norm.
On March 22, 2020, a powerful earthquake of magnitude 5.3 occurred in Croatia near the city of Zagreb, which covered most of the territory North of the capital.
There was a panic in the city as people began to flee their homes. At least twice more tremors were felt. They were also felt in neighboring countries : Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Slovenia and Austria.
