Ozone Layer is a part of stratosphere at a height from12 to 50 km (in the low latitudes of 25-30 km, 20-25 in moderate and 15-20 in polar), where under the influence of ultraviolet radiation of the Sun molecular oxygen (O2) dissociates into atoms, that then combine with other O2 molecules to form ozone (O3). The relatively high concentration of ozone (about 8 ml/m³) absorbs harmful ultraviolet rays and protects every living creature on the land from the harmful radiation.
